SHOUTcast Server

Introducting SHOUTcast Server. SHOUTcast is a music streaming utility which is run in a terminal window. Until now. SHOUTcast Server is the first ever fully functional program with a graphical user interface (GUI) for Mac OS X that will control your SHOUTcast server. No more messing around in terminal. Just open up SHOUTcast Server, fill in the required information, and click Start Server. The configuration window (shown below) contains every option available in the terminal version of SHOUTcast server. You have the option of using the GUI to configure your server, or you can manually edit your configuration file in TextEdit.

Once you’ve configured SHOUTcast Server to your liking, click that shiny Start Server button in the corner. When you click it, SHOUTcast Server transforms into a smaller, less obtrusive window to inform you on your server’s status (shown below).

From here, you can monitor how many listeners you have, and your server’s status. If that isn’t enough for you, then click the Show Console button. As shown below, a window containing that familiar terminal output of your server pops up.
